I live and work in Muswell Hill with my partner and 3 kids.
Born in Israel, I moved to London aged 5. I've always loved to draw and paint and studied art at school to A level. Concern for the natural world and our impacts on it led me to study geography at university and to work in food and environmental campaigning, though I still sketched and painted especially while travelling. Feeling the need for more art in my life, in 2014 I began taking painting and printmaking courses at the Mary Ward Centre and the Working Men’s College, attended Christine Watson's classes in N10, and life drawing meetups in pubs and cafes. I created studio space at my home and began to exhibit, sell and take commissions.
About my work
I’m keen to use sustainable, non-toxic materials where possible. I make my own oil paints by mixing pure earth pigments with walnut oil. I also draw and paint with pen, watercolours and pastels. My inspiration often comes from nature, and from dream-like thoughts and memories. I like to draw what I see around me, create unplanned imaginative work, and sometimes blend both approaches in a single piece.
