Kate Pasvol - Sculpture/Glass
About me:I initially trained and practiced as an architect for 20 years mainly in Oxford. I then moved to London in 1990 and went into teaching, mainly teaching computer graphics. Throughout this time I persued my interest in sculpture and drawing.
About my work:
My more recent work in glass has been linked to landscape and in particular the welsh mountains and waterways as well as silver birch trees together with the female torso and I have using a variety of techniques including fusing, kiln casting and sand casting to produce my work.
My carved sculptural work is mainly inspired by landscape and is usually connected to a particular place I have visited. I have also produced a range of figurative work mainly in fired stoneware.
