.About me: I completed a two year foundation course in Art and Design in 1983 and progressed to study sculpture at Cheltenham Art School, graduating in 1986 with a BA in Fine Art. Following redundancy from a decade in theatre admin' I completed a City & Guilds teacher training course and have taught art classes since 2003. I now live and work at my studio in Muswell Hill. I exhibit regularly and have works in collections in America, Japan, Sweden, France, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
I am an 'independent' art teacher and hold weekly tutored sculpture sessions at my studio in Muswell Hill and hold a popular weekly life sculpture class at The Art Stables in East Finchley.
About my work: My art has always employed a number of disciplines and I enjoy exploring ideas and mediums, and challenging my own imagination and creative process. In fulfilling my personal aesthetic I produce exquisite wood carvings incorporating fluid sensuous shapes. I also enjoy working with the manipulability of clay. Recently I have created some exciting installation art pieces and my personal work has been expanded and enriched since studying to be an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist. I am currently enjoying constructed and assembled artworks exploring aspects of my personal life.
Exhibitions: 'Plane Wall'. Mesmerizing and immersive art installation piece about memories. Showing at Stephens House, East End Road, Finchley Central. London. N3. Open: April-September 2018
