Tel: 07703 293026
About me: I studied woven and knitted textile design at the Scottish College of Textiles and Leicester Polytechnic. My career branched off into journalism as a reporter and newspaper editor, followed by work in Public Relations, then Corporate Relations with BT . Writing and photography remained constant interests, and I resumed painting and began to make prints at the Institute Arts Centre in 2006. I am also a member of the Printmakers Council (PmC).
About my work: I love experimenting with strong lines and colours and there is an abstract and graphic quality to some of my work. Most works are landscape but I have also made portraits – of people and animals. I work in etching and drypoint, making collages, collagraphs, trace monoprints and monotypes in watercolour and both water and oil-based inks and I adapt prints by painting with watercolour, ink, and acrylic and by incorporating sections, fragments and complete prints into collages.
