About me: I was born in London, of Israeli & Persian origin. I've always been interested in both the theory and practise of art, and studied Art History at University followed on by studying Photography. I teach film studies locally at The Institute in conjunction with the Phoenix cinema, where I programme the film classics. My approach to creativity is holistic in that I like to incorporate visual awareness, music & dance into everyday life.
About my work: I've always liked to express myself through diaries; when my children were small a more diary-like visual expression emerged through necessity, finding inspiration in the ordinary and everyday, rather than on exotic shoots.
Ongoing projects include Street Abstracts and Objet Trouvé series, as well as representations of transience, nature and architecture. My interests include looking at culture and identity through explorations of gender, signs and text and the relationship between painting and photography.
