About me: I have been making jewellery for over ten years. I did a fine art degree at Middlesex University in the mid-nineties. My practice there was large sculpture and installation work. I started making jewellery after I went back to work. Previously my work had been very much the product of ideas and concepts, making jewellery allows me to work intuitively and respond to the material in very different ways.

About my work: I work in silver, gold and semi-precious stones. I am particularly interested in surface texture. I use a lot of reticulation, which is a process where silver is heated until its molecular structure changes. I like the arbitrary results that can be achieved. I also use etching and other techniques to change the surface of the silver. Depending on the results I get I use gold to hi-light or contrast.

Exhibitions: Regular exhibitor in Queen's Woods open air sculpture exhibitions
