About me: I studied jewellery and silversmithing at Sir John Cass at London Metropolitan University, graduating in 2008. Prior to making jewellery I spent most of my time in the fresh air wearing muddy boots and working on environmental education and horticultural projects. A change to jewellery design happened almost by accident and it is still sometimes a surprise that I can be so happy doing something inside and sitting down!
About my work: My current work is a collection of pieces based on the magnificent views that can be seen across London, especially from Hampstead Heath. Pieces are photoetched by hand in sterling silver and details oxidised to create a striking contrast with a matt silver background. Recently I have also been working with mirror Perspex, a deceptively light weight material that catches the light beautifully. Laser etching creates strong, clear lines that really show my designs.
