About me: Jane Dorner is a 'mid-career-change artist', coming to glass-making after many years in publishing. She edits the Glass Circle News.

About my work: Jane Dorner uses colour in glass as a medium for painting in light. She makes free-standing sculptural pieces and wall-mounted structures for modern interior settings. She works collaboratively with other skilled craftsmen in different media on private and public art commissions. Small gallery pieces are blown and some use cutting techniques to explore optical illusions, while others celebrate gestures in colour. Her Bubble Series explores abstract art derived from photographic details of the glass.
