About me: I originally trained as a designer jeweller gaining a B.A. (Hons) degree in 3-D design from the Central School of Art and Design. I exhibited widely, particularly with the Designer Jewellers Group, combining this with lecturing on Art and Design Foundation Courses. After later gaining a P.G.C.E. (Art and Design) from London University I worked in the charity sector, using a multi-arts approach to working with adults with PCLD (profound and complex learning needs) and became interested in the overlap between the arts/therapy/education.
About my work: More recently I have returned to my artistic roots with a fresh approach; exploring and experimenting with painting, both in watercolour and acrylic. I am inspired by the natural world and gardens, and have put paintings to poems I have written. A theme of 'patterns' and 'boundaries' is beginning to emerge in my paintings. The work is also influenced by Jungian psychology and my spiritual journey.
