Welcome to the nineteenth EFO newsletter and the fifth of 2008. This newsletter is produced regularly, keeping you up to date with what the EFO and our members are doing in and around East Finchley and beyond.

The EFO are currently 50 Members - making art and craft work locally for you.

Stop Press: Phoenix Cinema - EFO Collection

A group of 14 EFO members are showing their work in the Phoenix Cinema foyer on East Finchley High Street during October. The collection includes paintings, drawings, photos, glass and textile work. Most works are for sale. The exhibition can be viewed whenever the cinema is open. Check out the EFO web site events pages for details of who's exhibiting.

EFO Art Fair November 16th

The following EFO group event is our annual Art Fair on Sunday November 16th, once again at Martin Primary School, Plane Tree Walk (just off the High Road next to the Library). A chance to buy those much sought-after locally made christmas presents. Open from 10.30 - 4.30, parking available.

Stallholders will include EFO Members and others from around the area, selling a wide variety of art and craft work, including painted silks, ceramics, glass works, jewellery, handmade books and cards, soaps, photographs and paintings. There's a list of exhibitors on the web site.

The Prize Draw will once again offer the chance to win art works by a local artist. There will be delicious food and drink available at the Arts Café - proceeds to Martin School.

The Archer will be selling their new East Finchley calendar: all proceeds from this and the Prize Draw will go to Contact, a local charity helping the elderly in East Finchley.
