Megumi Takahashi

Megumi has been attracted by printmaking which has expanding possibilities and exciting results. The variety of the process leads to visual communication, which helps an artist express his/her artistic sense and sensitivity through its fascinating results. She expresses her ideas on paper with smudging lines and distorted surface.

The things which exist in this world are complicated and irregular. We live at this very moment, but this very moment never stays, as time goes by just like a river flows towards the ocean; but the water, the river itself, stays where it is. Things are made by time and its history. A sandglass indicates time. A grain of sand falls, and another grain and another ... But it never is the same at every moment. It has its history. Every second of moment makes time flow.

She tries to express some fragments of the history of time in her work.
