Mike Sharp

Jazz, blues, soul, reggae, R&B drive my inspiration for creating these paintings.

Defining features of the work are an intuitive exploration of colour with occasional figurative elements.

Among the visual artists who influence me are Dubuffet, Basquiat, Irvin and, recently, Turner.'
