Chris Hazel has been painting on canvas for a relatively short time. She has had no formal training to speak of, but many years' experience as a decorative painter creating murals, trompe l'oeil niches, cloudy walls and ceilings, as well as many kinds of marble finishes.
Her love of movies, particularly old ones, eventually inspired her to produce some black and white paintings, and she has been working on canvas ever since. As well as the movie pictures, her main subjects at present are youth, beauty and aging.
