Ann Froomberg
I studied printed textile design at Middlesex Polytechnic and graduated in 1978. Since then I have run a design studio from my home in which was in East Finchley for 30 years, I now live & work in North Finchley.
Whilst most of my work caters specifically for the textile industry (see my website www.annfroombergdesign.com) I also create watercolour and acrylic paintings which I consider "wall decorations" rather than fine art. These paintings are directly influenced by my love of textile design and passion for colour.
I would be very happy to accept commissions for paintings or silks in any size or colour palette to compliment any décor or outfit.
I hand paint silk scarves for sale directly to the public, a luxury for me to celebrate vibrant silk dyes without worrying about the constraints of commercial printing ... I can enjoy the simple freedom of painting and exploring the dyes on this most sumptuous of fabrics.
