Orly Barziv
I was born in Thessalonica in 1969. I studied Physics and Astrophysics in Thessalonica, Amsterdam and Munich. Since 2000 I study and work with alternative medicine (Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine-Acupuncture). I moved to London in August 2006.
I am working with photography since 1988, when black and white shooting and printing was my main interest. Since 2003 I work with digital photography and image processing which I find fascinating and a source of endless opportunities. My subjects can be diverse, however motion (real or implied) is almost always part of my pictures.
I have covered art performances in Thessalonica, Beijing and Berlin, participated in group exhibitions in Thessalonica (2004 and 2005) and in the International Biennale "Poverty and Art" in Ankara (2005).
