On Sunday November 22nd 2009, the EFO held our sixth Art Fair
@ Martin Junior School. Flyer is here.

Although attendance was well down on previous years - not helped by the truly atrocious weather and problems with public transport - the atmosphere was enjoyable and results for stallholders were good. We had good feedback on the new layout for the event, with the entrance being between the two halls this year.

Stallholders included EFO Members and others from around the area, selling a wide variety of art and craft work. There is a list of where EFO members are showing here.

Since fewer people attended, door donations were, as a result, lower than hoped (though one lady visitor gave a voluntary donation of £10 to Oak Lodge). Contact and the Oak Lodge School shared just under £400.

The Prize Draw enabled three visitors to win art works by a local artist. See more info on the Prize Draw here.

Delicious food and drink was available at the Arts Café - thanks go to the Martin School PTA for their support in running the Café. The Café made a profit and the proceeds will go to the PTA.

The Archer were selling their 2009 East Finchley calendar and sold more than last year: the proceeds from this will go to Bobath Centre, a local charity helping children with cerebral palsy in East Finchley.

Lastly, a thankyou to the St John's Ambulance team - it's good to know they are on the premises, just in case.

Please Note: At these events, children are welcome, although there will be some restrictions on buggies - the school doesn't normally allow them in the building. Dogs (other than guide dogs) should remain outside the school building.
