EFO - What are we about?
Information on the EFO and what we do. |
|
|
|
The East Finchely Open is a group of Artists and craft people living in and around the East Finchley village.
Launched in 2003, the EFO has an active membership of more than 50 people from the local community, making it the largest and most successful group of its kind in North London.
Members produce a wide range of high quality, original artwork including painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, poetry, jewellery and textiles.

We organise three main events each year:
- Summer Open in July, where Members Open their houses and studios, together with other local venues
- "Imagine - East Finchley" Open Photo competition for the public
- Art Fair in November, where art and crafts of a consistently high standard are sold at affordable prices
|
|
|
|
We take an active part in (and sometimes arrange) community events, like the festivals in Cherry Tree Woods for East Finchley and Muswell Hill, and the Railings art event in support of the Stanley Road playing fields. |
|
|
| EFO Members meet regularly - about one a month - to administer our events. Our constitution is here. We also meet at other times to discuss practical and aesthetic art and craft issues, as well as socially., |
|
|
|
Joining the EFO is open to anyone living or working in East Finchley, creating their own work and prepared to muck in with our events and activities. |
