About me: I've become increasingly interested in how memory works over the past few years: the way we remember and forget, the importance of places and objects.

I've been many things: engineer, production manager for DVD films, entrepreneur, consultant, father, teacher, journalist, Chair of EFO ... I use all these experiences in the creation and development of my art work.

About my work: Working in pen, pastel and digital images, as well as time-based work, I've been exploring this interest in memory. My memory drawings are recollections: of physical relationships, spaces, rehearsed moves - on paper and layered glass. My Visual poems are re-creations of stories people told me about their favourite places or Small Objects of Desire - digital images, evoking the associations I made with the story contents or a familiar place. I also made a year-long response to the road outside my house: my favourite place. I have an ongoing collection of Shop Front Memories: Reflections of life through vacant shop window fronts.

Most recently, I have been creating photographic "light paintings", exploring time and composition of spaces.

You can commission me to create Visual Poems, photographic portraits, exterior murals and stained glass works (I can restore photographic images too), so email me if you want to discuss this.

Exhibitions: Open House Weekends with EFO, NoSpaceNeeded Online Exhibition 2011, Shop Front Memories series and Long Slow Walk series. Shows at Lauderdale House, various Art Fairs and Art Centres.
